When I run IP scanner now on my mac, a rotating gear shows up on my menu bar (I googled, appears to be Automator related) and has like 10-20 Arp/Ping processes hanging off of it when i click on it. If I close ip scanner, it doesn't go away and I can't kill it. I have to reboot to get it to go away. What's wrong here, and how can I kill it without a reboot? It is definitely being started when I run ip Scanner . . .
